What were your reactions when you heard about the first ever MTV Asia Awards?
Joe: First, we didn't expect the nomination. It came as a surprise, and we were shocked. The other nominees from
our category are established singers, we are considered new and we are the only English singing group. At the same time, we're
happy because in Malaysia, there are a lot of English singing artists and we were nominated.
Are you psyched up to perform at the pre-show?
Joe: We're really psyched. As a matter of fact, we've just finished our rehearsal and it looked good. Hopefully
tomorrow, a lot of people will check out the show. We're just gonna go on stage and do what we always do. Have fun and go
crazy on stage!
What do you think your chances are against the other nominees in the Favorite Artist Malaysia category?
Joe: I don't know. I mean if we get to win then good for us! We are concentrating more on the pre-show, we want
to go there and show the people what Too Phat can do. We're not too worried about winning or losing. I don't think we'll win.
So, if you do win, where are you going to keep the award?
Joe: It's probably going to be at the record company. Then after that, we'll probably rotate it every six months!
